Top Four Episodes of Always Sunny in Philadelphia

Being a long time fan of the show It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, There are so many great episodes. Being on the air for twelve seasons, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia has plenty of choices for best episode. There are five episodes that really stand out to me as the best episodes of the longest live-action sitcom of all time, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

The World Series Defense
This episode is about the gang in court for racking up $1000 in parking tickets. The gang is there to tell the judge they should not be held liable on account of the Phillies winning the World Series. The episode cuts back to flashbacks from 2008, where the gang had tickets to game five of the Worl
d Series. If one knows that characters of the show, one knows that the gang can't simply go watch a baseball game. Thus, leads to the gang doing many schemes that eventually got them locked in a hotel linen storage room. After being trapped in there for several days, Dennis sees that he has accumulated all those parking tickets. Even though that judge listens to the gang's full story, she still makes them pay the original fine.

The Waitress Is Getting Married
One of the shows running jokes is that the viewers never know what the waitress's name is, and it continues here. This episode is about Dee running into her high school boyfriend Brad, who has aged well, and finding out that he is marrying the waitress. Charlie has and still is in love with the waitress at this point of the show, so Dee tells everyone in the gang except Charlie acting like she wants to protect Charlie but really is just jealous of the waitress. Frank, Dennis and Mac decided to help Charlie find a new girl before he finds out about the waitress by making him an online dating profile. During all this Dee tries to ruin the wedding of Brad and the waitress. One of the best parts of this episode is the ending where Charlie gives Brad a box of hornets when he realizes he had no interest in the waitress, he was just trying to break her heart.

CharDee MacDennis:  The Game of Games
Most episodes partially take place in the gang's bar, "Paddy's Pub." The episode "CharDee MacDennis:  The Game of Games" is the most bottle episode of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia in that the gang never leaves the bar. It starts with them bored and having no plans for the day. Then they decided to play the craziest drinking game ever made, "CharDee MacDennis.""CharDee MacDennis" is a game the gang made up for days like that day. Throughout the episode, the gang plays different games based on three levels: level one is trivia and artistry, level two is physical challenge and level three is emotional battery. In the end of the episode, the team that always wins won, Dennis and Dee.

The Nightman Cometh
It all started as a minor joke in a few episodes, The nightman is a well known fictional character in the It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia universe. This episode expands on the Nightman character into a full-on stage musical made by Charlie to ask the waitress to marry him. The gang helps Charlie to mount a twisted little fairy tale about a boy who keeps getting molested by supernatural creatures. Most of what is funny about this episode is their rehearsal before the main production. Even though the journey was hilarious, the waitress still turns down Charlie.

There are so many episodes that I could add to this list because It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is a quality sitcom. The World Series Defense, The Waitress Is Getting Married, CharDee MacDennis:  The Game of Games and The Nightman Cometh are some of the top episodes to grace television and I would recommend anyone to give them a watch.
