Running an Effective Facebook Page

Every business nowadays has a least a Facebook page. It's a Social media site that most people of all ages have, so it's a great tool to market your business. There are a few major points to run an effective Facebook page. Before one write one's first post, there are several things one needs to do. And if one has already has written that first post, one should go back and reconsider these things. The first point is to update the about section. A simple way to drive traffic to one's website is to update the about section. It is one of the few areas that allows one to hyperlink and one can use this to one's advantage. Describe one's company briefly before providing a link to one's page. Another point of running a successful Facebook page is to design a strategy. One needs to decide on the tone of the page, the goals of the page and what the point of the page is is it to increase awareness, increase sales or increase subscriptions? One needs to sort these things out before one can get started. The next point of running an effective Facebook page is having a content calendar. Set expectations by creating a schedule. Start mapping out what one wants to point and how often. One doesn't need to stay strictly on the schedule, it should be fluid and natural, but a starting point helps. Another point is the tell one's story with a cover photo. The old saying a picture tells a thousand word is very true. One's cover photo is the first thing they see when your page loads. One needs to tell one's brand’s story with imagery so that people know what one is about from the start. The next point is to promote one's page. One should be proud of one's page and want to share it. Invite friends and family to one's page and invite current customers. It's all free or at least close to free to promote one's Facebook page. There are many ways to run an effective Facebook page, even more ways than I discussed in this post. Running a Facebook page effectively can really help one's business; it may be more work, but its worth it!

  1. I agree on this. I think everyone should have a Facebook page. Whether its a business profile or a personal profile. Facebook helps people interact with others better and may also help others build popularity on a business profile as well.
